Aquaculture

For many communities, aquaculture is ideal for improving nutrition and economic opportunity. Combining aquaculture with vegetable and fruit production in an “aquaponic” system produces even more nutrient-dense food. In this recirculating system, plants and naturally-occurring bacteria utilize fish or crustacean waste, and deliver clean water back to their tanks.
