Children at the Kampong Sdach Primary School are healthier and happier now, thanks to a water filtration system provided by Capax World. More than 1,200 people in Kampong Sdach village now have clean water. We gave reusable water bottles to every schoolchild, and water jugs to every household in the village. Schoolchildren fill their water bottles for free, and are learning the importance of drinking clean water and washing their hands.  Villagers pay a small fee to fill their 20-liter water jugs, with proceeds used to maintain the water filtration system and provide school supplies. Education regarding water, sanitation and hygiene is ongoing, including demonstrations of how to make soap from inexpensive local ingredients.

In this video, teacher Bulin shares her appreciation for the clean water, and describes how it helps the schoolchildren.

Worldwide, 2,000 children die each day from diarrheal illnesses that could be prevented if they had access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene. Thank you for #changinglives in Kampong Sdach village! (Kampong Sdach is a farming village in Kampong Thom province, Cambodia.)
