Produce Diversification
This project is impacting the lives of farmers, factory workers, jobless women and low income families.
At the top of the supply chain, Capax is supporting smallholder farmers with training, access to high quality seed and education on the use of natural fertilizers and pesticides for their crops. This allows a wider range of fruits and vegetables to be grown.
Once the produce is ready to be sold, we connect farms with ASA, a wholesale distributor. This distributor in turn has the assurance they’re supplying safe and affordable produce to the people of Cambodia.
Portions of the produce goes directly to garment factory workers and low income families.
Along the supply chain from farm to table we have been able to provide jobs for women who lost their jobs in the recent garment factory closures.
